The medieval town of Lucca is surrounded by a wall! We entered through this gate in the wall into the town.
We walked around the town a bit before dinner.

This is the Piazza Anfiteatro which are houses built in a circle so that performances could take place and people could just watch from their windows! Apparently, this is unique to Lucca.
The buildings really are curved!
