Garvey's European Family Club

Garvey's European Family Club
Salwa Road, just before the big Kia motors
P.O. Box 45327
Doha, Qatar
4468 7381 / 5577 3341

Not a posh club, but the closest thing you'll find to a British pub and a British pub grub, besides the Rugby Club of course. Don't expect gourmet food here, but if you are hankering after some good old fish n' chips (complete with mushy peas) this is the place. Prices are reasonable.
fish & chips, a fresh salad, and watermelon juice
N and I went to the famous Garvey's to check it out.  I've always heard about this place since I got here that it was the old Rugby Club place that everyone went to.  We went for lunch and it was quite nice.  We sat outside by the pool and enjoyed some good fish & chips, very accurate to in England!

It took a little while to find it.  Here's a map of the location of Garvey's European Family Club.

Yemeni Breakfast

Yup, more breakfast, but this time at my favorite spot, Bandar Aden.  We got shakshouka, beans, and MEAN, which was like the steak meat from Chipotle and it was really good!!!  We ate all of this with their bread of course while sipping tea.

Shakshouka (شكشوكة‎‎) is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, onions, often spiced with cumin.
