Ristorante "Da Gino" in Pisa

Some Italians who live in Pisa took us to their favorite restaurant in the area, ristorante "Da Gino."  It was incredible.

First we started off with some raw seafood, followed by a baked dish.

Next were some shrimp and a soup.

Then we had calamari.  I've only had fried calamari before, so I wasn't sure what to expect.  But this was perfect in a very light sauce that didn't drown the flavor of the calamari and was very soft and not chewy.  This was followed by some lobster pasta.  At this point I was too full and with the lack of sleep just couldn't manage to eat the second course of more seafood.  Too bad!

But there was just a little space for dessert...  This was walnut ice cream.  It wasn't very creamy and almost crumbled when we took a spoon full!
